Fiscal Year 2026 Paving Projects
The City of Rollingwood's 2025-2026 adopted budget includes $500,000 allocated for street maintenance and repairs. This allocation authorized the Mayor to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for street paving services, using the 2024 Paving Priorities Plan to determine which streets will be addressed. It also authorized the Mayor to enter into contracts for the repair and maintenance of those selected streets, with total project expenditures not to exceed the $500,000 approved by the City Council. All repairs are planned to be completed this fiscal year (i.e. before October 1, 2026).
Milling, paving, and restriping activities will take place on four streets:
- Edgegrove Drive between Rollingwood Drive and Bee Cave Road (including the intersection with Rollingwood Drive)
- Wallis Drive between Rollingwood Drive and Hatley Drive
- Hatley Drive between Laura Lane and Vale Street
- Nixon Drive between Pleasant Cove and Hatley Drive (only the sections not done under the water CIP projects)
Full technical details and specifications of this project can be found here.
During construction, the paving contractor will have flaggers and other staff on hand to help direct traffic. However, there will be a brief period of time (approximately 30-60 minutes) after the new paving is laid during which vehicles will be unable to use one lane of the street. This might temporarily block residents' and guests' ability to enter and exit their driveways or cross intersections. We apologize for the inconvenience that this might cause.
