The primary function of this position is to serve as the Rollingwood City Hall Administrative Assistant. This position serves as the front desk receptionist at City Hall; receives incoming phone calls and directing walk-in residents/customers. Key tasks are to provide clerical and staff support to the administrative departments. Will work with the Public Works Department and will act as the utility clerk; provide information to utility customers, prepare reports and post daily utility payments, and work closely with utility billing department on all utility related issues. Process incoming mail and prepare outgoing correspondence for all departments, and track supply inventory for staff. Other special projects and duties as directed by the Administrative Department Heads.

Requirements

Requires excellent skills in customer service, interpersonal communications, and organizational skills. Successful candidate will be capable of multi-tasking in an often fast-paced public office environment. 2-years of office experience necessary. Bi-lingual would be a plus in this position.

Required technical skills in such areas as multi-line phone systems, MSWord, Excel, Publisher, Adobe and website research. The selected candidate will be trained on the current Agenda Management software, meeting recording software and utility billing software.

Full-time position, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additional work hours may be required to complete projects during peak work periods. Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience.
