The City Council serves as the governing body of the City of Rollingwood and is composed of the Mayor and five Council Members, all of whom are residents of the City. Members of the City Council serve without compensation.
Agendas for City Council meetings are posted at least three business days in advance and can be found on our Meetings page.
Regular City Council meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at City Hall, unless otherwise rescheduled by a majority vote of the Council during a public meeting. All regular City Council meetings are open to the public. We welcome your participation!
Terms of Office
Pursuant to the provisions of section 22.035, Texas Local Government Code, as amended, the mayor and aldermen of the city shall serve two-year staggered terms.
In the event of a vacancy of no more than one (1) vacancy, a majority of the remaining members of the City Council may fill the vacancy by appointment, and the person appointed to fill the vacancy shall serve the term of the vacated position until the next regular city election. In lieu of filling one (1) vacancy on the city council by appointment, as provided for above, a special election may be called to fill such vacancy. If two (2) or more vacancies on the city council exist at the same time, a special election shall be called to fill such vacancies. Special elections shall be ordered, held and conducted in accordance with the general laws of the State.
